Long-distance Support
Are you interested in activating distance support?
The HIV pandemic and the long war have caused high mortality among adults and worsened the economic conditions of families. The first serious repercussion was on children: for many of them, access to school became impossible.
It is impossible to think about the development of a country if the youngest population has not access to education.
The school also offers physical and mental health protection, because boys and girls left alone become easy prey for gangs and victims of prostitution.
The main beneficiaries of this project are vulnerable children and young people from single-parent families, orphans, and those affected by AIDS or other diseases. A particularly vulnerable group is represented by child headed households: young people without stable adult role models and with younger siblings to care for.
The serious conditions facing their families force them to relegate their studies to a secondary role. To be able to dedicate themselves to their studies, these young people therefore require adequate support that takes into account their needs and those of their families.
Why activate long-distance support?
School is a place of learning and a safe place for children, protecting them from abuse and violence.
We are committed to monitoring not only their academic progress, but also their personal and family situations over time.
Principle of transparency: you will receive all the information and guarantees that your donation will offer a better future for children.
With an annual fee of €350.00, you will contribute to:
- Paying annual registration fees, school fees, and fees for end-of-year or end-of-cycle exams.
• Provide a school uniform, which is essential for attending classes.
Please Note: You can activate long-distance support as an individual, or you can involve your friends, relatives, and colleagues and form a solidarity group.
Physically distant, but close at heart

As soon as you activate long-distance support, you will be sent a card with the child’s photograph and details.

Once a year, you will receive a letter written by the child (or by a project manager, if the child is still too young to write) accompanied by a photograph.

If you wish, you can write letters to the child you are supporting: we will deliver it on your behalf and help you to stay in touch.
Over the years, the Education project has been supported in Italy by Fondazione Zanetti Foundation and Prima Spes Foundation.
